Athene was called to the Bar in 2023, upon completion of her pupillage with Mr. Erik Shum (1985), Mr. Charles J Chan (1998), Mr. Clement Lau (2005), Mr. Danny K. K. Chan (2010), and Mr. Ryan W. K. Poon (2017).

Prior to joining the Bar, Athene worked at international law firms with particular focus on insurance litigation. She is developing a broad practice and accepts instructions in both civil and criminal of work with a particularly keen interest in employees’ compensation, personal injuries, and commercial litigation. 

​

Athene is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. She is capable of conducting hearings and drafting legal documents in both English and Chinese.
